In early January of 2015, Bobbi Kristina, the only child of Whitney Houston, was found unresponsive by her alleged husband, Nick Gordon, in a bathtub, face down, at her Georgia home. According to police reports she was breathing at the scene, however she was unconscious. Reports say her husband performed CPR on her to resuscitate her, while a friend called the police.
When police arrived they also tried to revive her yet it did not work. She was immediately rushed to the hospital where she was placed under the conditions of coma. It is believed that her being unresponsive was due to a drug overdose. However, authorities have said that an autopsy will be needed to evaluate what really led to her death.
King/Drew student, Megan Sinclair said, “If her death is due to a drug overdose, it would be ironic because about three years ago her mother died in a very similar way, unresponsive in a bathtub.”
In hopes for her to come back to life, her family made decisions to keep her under life support. She was under life support for a long time as the family sent out statements to fans to constantly keep Bobbi in their prayers as they respect their privacy.
After about six months in coma and under life support, Bobbi Kristina’s family finally made the decision to “pull the plug.” Bobbi Kristina was announced dead on July 26, 2015. Family and friends said their final goodbye on Saturday, August 1, 2015, as she was buried next to her mom, late Whitney Houston, in a private funeral just north of Atlanta.
A final autopsy was conducted. It is believed that the cause of her death was discovered. However, due to a court order, the results will not be released to the public. The court order has sealed the medical examiner’s results, keeping it unknown to the public.
